2A

Please visit our class website at:

2A consists of 24 students, 11 girls and 13 boys, taught by Mr Stephen Atkinson.

Timetable

Our library day is every Tuesday. Our Music and Art lessons rotate fortnightly, with Music on a Monday and Art on a Wednesday. Scripture and Ethics groups are held on Thursday afternoons. Sport is held on a Friday.

Fruity sunshine

Our school is a ‘Sun Smart' school and as such, all 2A students are required to wear a brimmed hat when at play. We also take part in the ‘Crunch & Sip' program. All students are asked to have a piece of fruit to refuel with.

Reading Groups

Reading groups are held every day. If you would like to help with these sessions later in the term, please let me know.  Your child is asked to change their reader every Friday. Most students should be changing their reader at least once a week. Remember, rereading a text is just as important as reading it for the first time.

Interviews

Please make an appointment through the office should you wish to catch up with me. I have staff meetings Monday and Tuesday mornings as well as regular meetings Tuesday and Wednesdays after school.

Geography

On Wednesday afternoons, I am given time to work on my Assistant Principal role. In this time, Mrs Robin de Croos will take 2A for Geography classes. This term they are looking at a unit on ‘Australian Places'.

Homework

Homework will begin in Week 3. It is given out on Monday and should be returned on Friday. It will consist of literacy and numeracy activities to reinforce what has been taught in class. The Mathematics tasks are conducted online through Mathletics. Students unable to complete online homework can request a paper task. A note from home is appreciated if you believe there has not been enough opportunity to complete it. Homework will also be available on the 2A website.

Website

In 2A we have our own website. It is a great place for us to store homework, pictures and different resources we use throughout the year.
