KJ

Welcome to KJ!

Please come and ask me any questions you may have. I am available before and after school most days for a quick word. If you require more than a quick chat, please come and see me and I will make an appointment time when it is convenient for all of us.

Before school routine:

Please get your child to put their bag in their locker, put their hat on and head to the hard court on a sunny day and the COLA on wet days. They will line up on the blue dots near our classroom on sunny days and I will collect them from under the COLA on wet days. They are NOT to stay near the classroom as this is an unsupervised, out of bounds area.

Crunch and Sip

Please supply a small container that is separate to your child's lunchbox. Fill it with a small quantity of CUT UP FRUT or veggies. They only have 10mins to eat this at 10am every morning.

Art/Music/Library

The children have library every week. They need to bring their library bags with them every Monday. Art is on a Tuesday on an even week. They need to bring in an adult's old t-shirt, or shirt, or a smock can be purchased from the uniform shop. This is left at school for the year. Music is on a Tuesday on an odd week.

Fitness and Sport

The children participate in class fitness each day. Sport is on a Friday and they wear their house coloured t-shirt, shorts/skirts and sneakers.

Homework and Home Readers

Homework will be given out on a Monday and needs to be returned on a Friday morning. It will consist of spelling, writing and maths. A home reader will be included that is changed on a Friday as well. Please record the books read in the record book that will be in the homework folder as certificates of achievement are awarded.

Hats

We have a NO HAT NO PLAY policy. Please ensure that your child has their hat every day. If they have no hat, they play under the shady shelter on the playground.

Toys

Unless your child is bringing a toy in for a specified topic for news, toys are discouraged at school. If they do bring a toy in, they are responsible for its safety as we are not able to ensure that it is not stolen lost or broken.
