Sharing Success

Success is celebrated at Leura in a variety of ways.

Classrooms: Success is celebrated in a variety of ways in our classrooms. Teachers use many different types of reward systems. Students also receive Level Ones for positive behaviour in the classroom and playground.

PBL Assemblies: PBL (Positive Behaviour for Learning) assemblies are held weekly for all students. Level Two awards are presented here. Students collected ten Level One awards in order to achieve a Level Two. Other awards are also presented here for specific events and groups of students are congratulated for their success in a variety of school activities.

K-2 and 3-6 Assemblies: Values (Merit) awards are presented at these assemblies, held fortnightly. These awards are chosen by class teachers and are aligned with our school values.

Principal’s Assemblies: These assemblies are held twice a term. People’s Choice Awards are presented here. These awards are chosen by the students for members of their class. These awards are also aligned with our school values: Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. The principal also awards Level Three certificates at this assembly. Students receive a Level Three when they have collected 5 Level Two awards or 4 Level Two awards and a Values award.
