Creative Expression

Learning through Visual Arts classes at Leura Public School is fun, but there are many more reasons to get involved. Communication skills are improved as students convey feelings and meanings in various ways. Problem-solving skills are used when testing possibilities and working through challenges. Fine motor skills are refined when holding tools so that they will make the desired marks, snipping paper with scissors into definite shapes or squeezing glue from a bottle in a controlled manner. Most importantly though, at LPS self-expression and creativity are experienced through enjoyment.
